Three Easy Healthy Foods Kids Will Love

It is really important to start right when it comes to food, and focusing on healthy eating for your kids that is also delicious will ensure that they make the right choices later in life. The NHS have the Eatwell Guide, which highlights the various food groups and how much of each we should be eating. Here are three food choices that are flexible, nutritious and are part of delicious recipes kids will love.

Oats

Wholegrain oats are incredible sources of the fibre beta-glucan, as well as antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. There is all manner of amazing breakfasts and desserts to make from this, but one of the easiest and one of the most delicious is overnight oats. The combination of oats softened in natural yoghurt, with fruits and other toppings is delicious, flexible for even the fussiest of children and really easy to prepare.

Eggs

Eggs are famously adaptable and are full of protein and omega-3 acids. Along with the classic childhood staple of a boiled egg with toast soldiers, there are so many ways to make healthy egg recipes. Along with Scrambled eggs, egg noodles, healthy omelettes and so many other recipes, you can add a variety of healthy extras to make a meal perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Bananas

Rich in potassium, calcium and a range of other nutrients that help kids develop, bananas are also incredibly easy to include in a lot of breakfasts and desserts. They can be used to make milkshakes, smoothies and be used as the topping for cereals and overnight oats, as well as make banana bread if they have gotten a little bit too ripe.
